I am totally loving my uni experience and Plymouth is amazing! It has it all: sun (sometimes}, sea, surf, ski/snowboarding {theres a slope} and diving!

Clubs wise it is amazing! There's something good at the union every night!

A friday night would probably consist of going to the union until 3 and then walking straight over the road to Cuba and Ride (2 amazing bars) and then leaving there at kicking out time at 5ish and then heading to the burger van next door or to Jakes - a burger bar thats open til 5.30 =]
Theres an amazing range of clubs in Plymouth, ranging from Walkabout and Revolution to Reflex and Flares and as the uni is right in the town centre none of them are more than a 20 minute walk away or 5minute cab ride - costing £4.40 at most - which between 5 of you is nothing!

Now the important bit is over.....

My course is TESOL (teaching english to speakers of other languages) and French. Sounds weird right? But it's basically combining my ambition of being a teacher with my love of languages! I only do 9 hours a week so it leaves time for lots of fun stuff! I'm joined up to the ski/snowboard society - SNOWRIDERS and there are loads of socials and trips and stuff!

There are loads of other societies! You could find them in anything! Obviously the rugby and football lot are the most prominant! But there's also societies like the surfers, horseriders, swimmers, netballlers, sailors, pole dancers - yes! No jokes! Anything you can think of really!

If you're into music the uni itself hosts many bands... Most recently: Pendulum, The Hoosiers, We Are Scientists and The Courteeners! And then off site there are 2 main venues: Plymouth Hub who host people such as Eliot Minor and Plymouth Pavilions (which also has a swimming pool and ice rink} who has hosted more recently Kanye West, Bowling 4 Soup, Mark Ronson and will be hosting Avril Lavigne!

The uni in general is good! Onsite shops - which is unusual as we're so close to the town centre! There's a mass of shops in town! A lot of surfer shops as we're so close to the sea!

The uni has a massive library and smaller languages lab in the business building - perfect for my course - it has foreign TV channels and magazines in loads of different languages!

Overall Plymouth is amazing and I'd recommend to anyone to come here!
